Most epoxies (typically made up of resins and hardeners) are toxic. While the components of toxic resins and hardeners, provide benefits such as faster curing times, harder final results, resistance to outdoor elements, and typically at cheaper prices. However, the cost of using those often includes human health.
We use FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) approved non-toxic, food grade, no VOC (volatile organic compounds) epoxy. Your health is so important to us, we refuse to use “easy” and “cheap” materials that would put the health of your home at risk.
We also use organic locally sourced Colorado’s bees wax and food grade mineral spirits for our “board butter” to protect our woodcraft pieces.
